Ringgold was back in action at home on Monday night, facing off against Connellsville in PIHL Class B play at the Rostraver Ice Garden.
On what would turn out to be a frustrating night, Ringgold held a dominant advantage in shots, but wasn’t able to capitalize on the scoreboard.
Ringgold opened the scoring in the first period as Nick Nagy followed up a Hunter Suarez shot by diving for a rebound and putting it home for a 1-0 advantage. Nathan Boulanger would add another Ram goal just before the first period horn to push the lead to two at intermission.
In the second period, Nagy netted his second goal of the game off assists from Evin Fries and Ethan Saylor.
Connellsville scored its lone goal in the third period for a 3-1 final score.
Ringgold goaltender Jerry Mease made 11 saves in the win.
Up next, Ringgold (3-0) is on the road against Carrick.
