The Ringgold hockey team hosted Bishop Canevin on Monday night in their final game of the 2018-2019 regular season.
After allowing the Crusaders to strike first and take a 1-0 lead, the Rams rattled off three straight goals from Ethan Saylor (2) and Bradley Budjos to hold a 3-1 lead at the first intermission.
Ringgold maintained momentum in the second period, registering four more goals to break the game wide open. This time, Ram goals came from Budjos, scoring his second, Justin Day (2) and Evan Eberlein.
Ahead 7-1, Ringgold would score twice more in the third period for a 9-2 final. Budjos and Day would both score one goal completing an individual hat trick. Budjos also finished with three assists.
Evan Cook once again earned the victory in net, stopping 21 of 22 shots faced.
With the win, Ringgold finishes the regular season with an overall record of 16-4 and sits solely in third place of the Division 2 standings behind Burrell and Neshannock. The Rams will host a first round playoff game in early March on a date and time to be determined.
