The Ringgold hockey team traveled to Southpointe on Tuesday night to take on Trinity. It was the Rams’ second game against the Hillers in the last week, with Ringgold winning the previous match-up 10-1.

Although the score wouldn’t be as high, the Rams came home with the same result, taking a 5-2 victory.

After Trinity scored the opening goal to take a 1-0 lead, Ringgold responded scoring 4 unanswered goals to take a commanding 4-1 lead into intermission. Tallying for Ringgold was Ryan Marek, Justin Day, Nathan Todd (PP), and Bradley Budjos.

In the second period, Ringgold would tack on another goal from Zach Kalinowski to all but put the game away.

The Hillers would get one back in the third period for a 5-2 final score, but the game was never in doubt.

Evan Cook stopped 24 of 26 shots in goal and Ethan Saylor finished with 2 assists for the Rams.

Ringgold resumes play again on Thursday, January 17th at Central Valley. The Rams will be looking to avenge a 5-3 loss to the Warriors earlier this season.
