The Ringgold hockey team opened the PIHL D2 playoffs on Monday night, hosting Central Valley at Rostraver Ice Garden.

Bradley Budjos led a dominant performance by the Rams as Ringgold cruised to a 6-1 win.

Ringgold would control play in the offensive zone all night along which lead to a lopsided advantage in shots, 52-14, on the night. Leading the Rams offense was Bradley Bujdos, who scored four goals, including two 13 seconds apart.

Budjos and Nathan Todd scored in the first period to give Ringgold a 2-0 lead after one.
In the second period, Todd scored his second of the game before Budjos scored his second. The Rams would lead 4-1 at the intermission.

In the third period, Bujdos added his final two goals to put the game away, 6-1.

Evan Cook earned the win in net for Ringgold.

With the win, the Rams advance to the semifinals, where they’ll face No. 2 Neshannock at 9:15pm on Monday at the RMU Island Sports Center.
