The Lady Rams traveled to Laurel Highlands on Saturday afternoon to take on the Mustangs.

Nya Adams led the way collecting five hits on the day to help Ringgold to a 12-7 victory. Adams singled in the first, homered in the third, singled in the fourth, doubled in the sixth, and doubled in the seventh.

Ringgold earned the victory despite allowing Laurel Highlands to score four runs in the first inning.

Trailing 6-5, the Lady Rams took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. on a home run by Lauren Gohacki..

Ringgold put up three insurance runs in the seventh inning. The Lady Rams offense in the inning was led by Lauren Temoshenka and Nya Adams, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Jillian Scherer pitched Ringgold to victory. She allowed 11 hits and seven runs over seven innings, striking out six.

Ringgold collected 13 hits on the day. Adams, Scherer, and Gohacki all managed multiple hits for the Lady Rams. Adams led Ringgold going 5-5.

The Lady Rams will complete section play on Tuesday, May 8th when they host Trinity at the Finleyville Field.
