The Lady Rams hosted Greensburg Salem on Wednesday night at Joe Montana Stadium in section play. Ringgold was looking to avenge a 2-1 loss to the Golden Lions in early September. It was also Senior Night and 10 Lady Rams were recognized prior to the game.

Ringgold jumped ahead 2-0 in the first half. The first goal was scored by Marina Albero at 2:44 when she finished a nice ball from Moe Rosensteel. Rosensteel followed up with her own goal minutes later, scoring on a PK after Faith Martin was hauled down in the box.

Greensburg Salem got one back before halftime, scoring on a questionable offside no-call to cut the deficit to one.

The Golden Lions would have the better play in the second half, generating several opportunities before finally converting to tie the game midway through the period.

The game headed into overtime and then double overtime with neither team being able to get the win. Ringgold’s best chance came on a Johnna Mayer header off of Ashley Ficorilli’s corner kick, but the ball skipped just wide.

Kylee Pry finished with 8 saves on the night for Ringgold.

The Lady Rams must now win out in section play and also get some help in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. Ringgold’s next game is on Monday, October 8th at home against Laurel Highlands.
