The Rams traveled to Greensburg Monday evening to take on the host Greensburg-Salem Lions at Offutt Stadium.
The Rams and Lions had a slow start to the game with both teams playing strong defense and denying any consistent attack pressure. It was not until Senior Brandin Jaki earned a Penalty Kick for the Rams that Ringgold recorded even recorded a shot. Jaki scored his attempt from the spot giving the Rams a 1-0 and continued to lead the way.
Shane Seiler extended the lead to 2-0 with just 12 minutes to go in the first half. After a short rest, Jaki returned to the field of play and found his second of the night just before half.
Beginning the second half, the Rams looked to continue to apply pressure to the Lions. Unleashing a barrage of shots on goals, it was not until Brenden Vaccaro buried a pass from Jaki that the Rams lead would grow to 4-0.
Jonnie McDuffie was next to score as he converted a free kick from approximately 30 yards out.
Jaki then completed his Hat Trick as he dribbled in close and passed around the keeper.
Brandon O’Connor joined in on the action late in the game to secure the 7-0 lead which would stand for the remainder of the game.
Jeremy Mullen stood strong in goal for the Rams making some brilliant saves throughout play. Mullen earned the clean sheet as his team found success on the other end of the field.
