Senior Andrew Bottino scored all four goals to lead Ringgold to a section win at Albert Gallatin on Monday night. Bottino took a pass from freshman Zach Alvarez and rifled a shot past the AG keeper as time expired in the first half to give the Rams a lead they probably did not deserve as the team struggled mightily against the upstart Colonials. Ringgold regrouped at halftime and took control when Bottino and fellow senior Dylan Wujcik hooked up for a pair of goals four minutes apart to build a 3-0 lead. Bottino closed out the scoring at the 27 minute mark to make the final 4-0. Seniors Frankie Lowstetter and Jason Vaccaro took control of the midfield in the second half allowing the Rams to dictate the pace. Jeremy Mullen finished with 4 saves and a clean sheet and the Rams out shot the Colonials 23-9.

Ringgold returns to action on Thursday in a non-section match at Elizabeth Forward. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.

Notes: The Rams, already missing 8 players due to injury or illness, lost junior forward Brandin Jaki midway through the first half with an ankle injury. He was being evaluated after the game and his availability for Thursday is unknown at this time…..Alvarez’s assist was the first Varsity point of his career.
