Inclement weather forced the Ringgold baseball team to travel to West Mifflin on Friday afternoon to play a “home” game against the Titans. The Rams were firing on all cylinders en route to an easy 10-3 Section 3-4A victory.
After West Mifflin plated two in the top of the first, Ringgold responded with three first-inning runs. A Koby Bubash single and a Titan error accounted for the Rams’ scoring.
In the second, West Mifflin would get one back to tie the game at three, before Ringgold once again capitalized on a Titan error, scoring two more runs to regain the lead, 5-3.
From there, the Rams wouldn’t look back adding five more runs in what would end up being a lopsided victory.
Chase Angotti led Ringgold at the plate, going 3-for-5 on the day while Dylan Wujcik (3) and Bobby Boyer (2) each tallied multiple RBI’s.
Gage Fuller earned the win for the Rams. He surrendered three runs on three hits over four innings while striking out five. Kevin Feld threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Feld recorded the last nine outs to earn the save.
Ringgold improves to 3-2 (2-0) and will be back in action again on Monday at Thomas Jefferson. Game time is set for 4:30pm.
