Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · Pajak’s record-breaking day leads Boys Cross Country to 1st place at Big South Championships


The Big South Conference Cross Country Meet was hosted at Mingo Park on Thursday, October 8th with 8 teams competing. In addition to Ringgold, attendees included Chartiers Valley, Elizabeth Forward, Keystone Oaks, South Park, Thomas Jefferson, Trinity, and West Mifflin. For the third time in as many years, the Ringgold boys team took 1st place!

Freshman standout Ryan Pajak led the team with his first place overall finish with a time of 16:05.30, officially breaking the Ringgold school record set in 1992 by Joe Schreibeis!

Lucas Pajak, Ben Daerr, Lorenzo Zeni, Nick Whaley and David Molisee all received All-Conference accolades by placing in the top ten of the boys race.

On the girls side, the Lady Rams came up just short, finishing as the runner-up in the team standings to Chartiers Valley by only 7 points.

Charlee Leach, Andrea Kassa, and Annie Daerr all placed in the top ten to receive All-Conference accolades.
